Nice bed and bedding, modern refurbished bathroom, tea and coffee station, lighting, desk and beauty mirror. Clean and comfortable room. Great menu, tasty, well made food and good wait staff. Very nice toiletries supplied for use during your stay, these were a very nice touch.

I loved the huge super comfy bed and luxurious bedding. The shower was large and powerful with lovely hot water. Our breakfast was lovely and tasty with good quality produce. We also had meals in the evening which were also very tasty with plenty of choice. The bar was very welcoming and comfortable and the staff so friendly and helpful. It was really cosy sitting by the log burner watching the rain lashing down outside.

the staff were very friendly and the food excellent we had soup on the saturday lunch time that scored a 10/10 and that meant we had high hopes for the sunday breakfast... we weren't disappointed.

Amazing hosts, very lovely, friendly, and attentive and made us feel so welcome! Took our breakfast order the night before to make sure we were leaving on time in the morning! Lovely clean facilities with amazing food served in the pub for dinner and breakfast! Cant fault the host or the facilities at all. Very cosy pub and extra points for the lovely Christmas decorations.

The facilitys were as expected. Bed was so comfortable. Bathroom as clean as a whistle as was the bedroom. Location in the valley was both bueatiful and handy for exploration of both Dartmoor and Exmoor. Breakfast was great. Staff made you feel comfortably at home. Parking was absolutely fine.

The welcome was professional and accommodating, (Earl Grey tea supplied on request). Rooms where supplied with good tea/coffee facilities and lovely biscuits!! Beds where very comfortable, natural quilts appreciated. Shower was very good and great thick bath towels. The Bramley toiletries where excellent. The breakfast was very good, with a wide choice of menu options, served and cooked with a smile! We liked the Orchard Thieves Cider!!

Outstanding stay here! Highly recommend! It's a lovely pub, in a beautiful area in nature, the staff were exceptionally friendly, the room and bed were extremely comfortable. Everything was outstanding. I haven't experienced a place that good for a very long time. I've tried to write a review that does it justice but don't think words do it justice.

An enjoyable short stay - the room was cosy, with a comfortable bed and hot shower. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and staff at the hotel were very friendly and happy to help. There is no phone signal at the hotel or local area but there is free wifi for guests to use.
